My Story
Hello, I’m Amanda and I’m here to walk beside you to find healing from your past or courage to face what is before you, right now. You’re not meant to walk this path alone and I’m committed to supporting you on your journey.
I began working in the field of counseling in 2019, after leaving behind a career in engineering. I was searching for a way to connect my work with my desire to tangibly impact people’s lives for good. I found tremendous purpose in providing comfort care to individuals in hospice and group counseling for women recovering from reproductive losses (abortion, miscarriage, etc.)
Difficult experiences in my own story have also impressed upon me the value of counseling. Life is not easy! And it’s not meant to be walked alone.
I believe that you are the expert on what you’re facing and I want to come alongside you, offering empathy, hope, and compassion to help you navigate your circumstances. I want to encourage you, help you identify your strengths, and recognize your resilience. I want to empower you with practical skills to navigate hard relationships and combat negative thought patterns. And I want to provide a safe space of genuine care and acceptance in which you can grow.
A liitle bit about me is I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and I love the rain. I find nothing cozier that curling up with a blanket, my dog, and a good book on a stormy night, preferably in front of a fire. I love being outdoors and getting my hands dirty – swimming in lakes, going camping, and tending my flower garden. I also deeply enjoy playing board games, crafting, and making music.
