My Story

With more than twenty years in private practice, I’ve honed my ability to attune to a person’s unique lens and interpretation of her/his/their lived experience.  My clients suffer from anxiety, depression, and grief from unresolved trauma.  I work with teens and adults across the lifespan seeking tools to shift away from painful patterns of reacting from the past, to a sense of safety and ease within themselves in the present. I especially love to work with women challenged by infertility, pregnancy and birth trauma.  Having the lived experience of infertility, my connection to women facing this challenge is intuitive. I am your ally.

I’ve been fortunate to participate in trainings from well known and respected mindfulness experts Dan Siegel (Mindsight Institute), Kristen Neff (Mindful Self-Compassion), and somatic (body) trauma experts Bessel Van der Kolk (The Body Keeps the Score) and Elaine Miller-Karas (Trauma Resource Institute). These trainings enriched my skill set to offer mind/body interventions like Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) and TRM (Trauma Resiliency Model) to gently and compassionately guide clients to settle the nervous system and allow for reorganizing the anxious or traumatic response. I then teach wellness skills for building resilience, practicing mindfulness and holistically managing the cumulative stress of life.

As a graduate of UCLA School of Public Policy and Social Research my training as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker is rooted in the core values of social work: professional integrity and competence, to be of service to others, to uphold human rights and social justice, to recognize the inherent worth and dignity of each person, and to value the importance of human relationships. These principles continue to inspire and guide my work today with teens and adults suffering from anxiety, depression and trauma throughout the lifespan.

Currently I am licensed in California and Washington State.

A little fun fact about me is my family and I relocated to Seattle from Southern California at the end of 2019.  I enjoy exploring the natural beauty of Washington State and especially love to take my huskies Loki and Suki to the gnome trail in Maple Valley.
